Polly is a versatile artist, performing not only as a guitarist, a lutenist, and baroque guitarist, but also as an actress and creator of her own one-woman shows.

Some favorite acting roles have been: Regina in "The Little Foxes", Katherine in "The Taming of the Shrew", Sylvia in "Sylvia", Susie in "Wait Until Dark", Brooke in "Noises Off", Bette in "The Marriage of Bette and Boo", Doris in "Same Time, Next Year", and Alice in "Alice!".

Polly was voted "Best Local Actress" in the 1998 "Best of Denton" Readers' Poll, and "Best Acoustic Artist" in the 2000 "Best of Denton" Readers' Poll.

Critical notices following her European concert tour are from the Madgeburgische Zeitung Volksstimme (Magdeburg, Germany) and from the Suddeutsche Zeitung (Munich, Germany).
