Polly Maynard has served as the Director of the Denton Childbloom Program since 1986. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Guitar Performance from the University of North Texas, where she also taught for ten years. Her many teaching awards include:

  • Childbloom Teacher of the Year—1989, 2002
  • Most Outstanding Program—1990, '92, '95, '96
  • Motivator Award—1991, 1993, 2000
